Connecting Laptops to AirPennNet

Windows

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help and click Connect.image
  2. Open up a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and navigate to any website, such as apple.com or google.com.
  3. The wizard will open up in a web browser. Click the checkbox to accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy and click Start.
  4. Follow the prompts to install XpressConnect.
  5. The XpressConnect wizard will open. SelectStudent and click Continue.
  6. Enter your PennKey and Password. Also, select the checkbox next to Automatically submit credentials to save them for future use. Click Next.
  7. After your credentials have been authenticated, select the network calledAirPennNet and click Connect.
  8. Once you are connected, you will receive the message “Successfully connected”. Click Done.

Mac

  1. Select the network called AirPennNet-Help.image
  2. Open up a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and navigate to any website, such as apple.com or google.com.
  3. The wizard will open up in a web browser. Click the checkbox to accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy and click Start.
  4. The XpressConnect wizard will open. SelectStudent and click Continue.
  5. Enter your PennKey and Password. ClickContinue.
  6. Enter your Computer Admin Account & Password.
  7. When you are finished, you will be prompted with the message “Successfully Connected”. You are now connected to AirPennNet.

    Unfortunately, this does not always work if you have a Windows 10-running personal computer. You need to go back and check the protocols.
